Gat (갓) is a traditional Korean hat often worn by men. The type of gat featured on this pin is a heukrip (흑립) which is made of horsehair and denoted social status during the Joseon era. The larger your brim, the higher your status! This type of gat was worn by scholars and the yangban noble class.
"Oh My Gat!" is a wordplay in Korean since "god" and "gat" are written the same way~
